Maven Homes and our development partner entered into an option agreement with two adjoining land owners in January 2012 to redevelop this edge of the town centre site to provide 26 retirement apartments with associated parking and amenity space.
The agreement was entered into following refusal (at appeal) for a previous planning application for 26 retirement apartments by a different developer.
Using our in-house planning consultancy we were able to redesign the scheme to deliver the same number of apartments and floorspace as the previously refused application.
The planning application was submitted in July 2012 and permission was granted in September 2012.
